Advent 2: Baptized In Love
Last week we spoke of the Roar of the Lion, the Lion in our midst disrupting our lives during Advent, as we live out the arrival of the baby Jesus, the tender and merciful lamb of God. It is appropriate that we sing the hymn “O Come, O Come Emmanuel (as our sermon hymn this morning); for advent is about hope (in the midst of the lion); it is about hope, not just waiting.
