Year End Thoughts

A year end greeting as we anticipate Epiphany.

The continuing manifestation of Jesus as the Christ, is a theme we  explore during this time leading to Lent and to the blessed meal we share on Ash Wednesday. The time after Epiphany is relatively short, yet it encompasses the entirety of the revelatory experience of discovering the divinity of Jesus. We have witnessed personal tributes from Mary and Joseph, the shepherds and magi, the temple priests and Simeon and Anna. But it did not end there, for even his adult ministry in Galilee was a manifestation of his special nature. Whether by word or deed, or his calling of each of us to the new realm or kingdom, we witness the continuation of the Christmas focus on the “theophany”...the manifestation of God in Christ, deepening our meditation on the mystery of God acting in Jesus.  We welcome and invite all professing Christians to partake of this post-Epiphany Sunday meal of Bread and Wine, and to share in the fellowship of the saints.
