Region 7 Food Pantry @ Irvington

The congregation at Plum Hill actively supports the Region 7 Food Pantry at Irvington, IL (Frieden's UCC) by providing financial assistance, food products and volunteer services. Originated as a result of conversations between three Nashville-Okawville UCC churches (St. Paul, St. Peter and St. John), it quickly expanded from a food gathering organization to an established Pantry when the congregation at Frieden's UCC (Irvington) offered space in their vacant parsonage. Certified by the USDA, the Food Pantry (open most Saturday's) serves over 65 families and over 150 family members each week, regardless of need. The Food Pantry has become an important outreach ministry for churches of Region 7.
